As a school of Innovation, Balga SHS designed and implemented the Business Interest Model in 2015 with the purpose of developing Industry Team Collaboration Skills for Year 8-10 students through pursuing their own area of Interest.
Students are involved for 3 hours per week at times which enable each Interest Area to involve and share with Industry and Community at an Industry Standard Level.
The Business Interest Model Areas are:
- Aboriginal Cultural Enterprise
- Community Arts
- Drama/Theatre Production and Performance
- Film Making
- Formula 1 Technology Challenge
- Gardening Enterprise
- Metal Art and Practical Device Creation
- Music Performance and Creation
